Computer imaging is used regularly by the plastic surgeons
at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery in pre-operative consultations with their prospective
patients. Pencil sketches and marked up black-and-white photos have become passé.
Patients see a digital computer image of their own features that can be altered
to simulate the patient's surgical goal. Many aesthetic procedures can be simulated
using computer imaging, but it is used most commonly for nasal, facial and eyelid
surgery.
