Case 2: Brow Lift (Forehead Lift)
This 63 year-old woman came to MPS with a complaint of "tired eyes." Her upper lids had the appearance of excess skin, making her look tired or angry, when in fact she was neither! Examination showed that her brows had dropped into her upper eye socket, giving the impression of extra upper eyelid skin. Raising the brows to their proper position corrected the "excess" upper eyelid skin nearly completely. (No eyelid surgery was performed!) Her hairline was normal, so a bicoronal forehead lift was performed at MPS' outpatient surgical facility, also weakening the frown muscles to permanently refresh the area between her brows. (Her incision was hidden entirely within her hair, not at the hairline as with endoscopic lifts.)
Frown Muscles Inactivated: yes
Type of Incision: Bicoronal (hidden entirely within hair behind hairline)
