DR. GERVAIS: Hi, I'm Dr. Gervais and I'd like to welcome you to Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. We are a full-service cosmetic surgery practice. Both Dr. Tholen and I perform a broad range of breast, body and facial cosmetic surgery. I grew up in the Twin Cities and love raising my kids in my hometown. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of St. Thomas and then I went to the University of Minnesota for my medical training. It was here that I developed an interest, which soon became a passion for surgery.

My seven years of surgical training began in Boston at Boston University. Plastic surgery became my career choice after working with a gifted surgeon and wonderful man named Dr. Anastasi. After completing my general surgery training, I obtained my first of two board certifications. My next stop was Vanderbilt University for my plastic surgery training. While at Vanderbilt, I was privileged to work with some of the country's leaders in cosmetic breast and body surgery. I am board-certified in plastic surgery and fully trained in the latest techniques available in our field.

You know, plastic surgery is not for everyone. But for those interested in more information or for those ready to take the next step, we will make every effort to educate you, put you at ease and hopefully earn your confidence. Along those lines, our cosmetic surgery consultations are complimentary and there will be absolutely no pressure to proceed with any surgery. Our consultations are meant to be educational, an opportunity for you to get to know me and for me to get a thorough understanding of your needs and wishes.

My experience has shown that the most important part of the consultation is listening to the patient and understanding their expectations. We not only expect you to be happy with the result, but also comfortable and happy with your whole experience. I firmly believe that we have the best and most caring staff around. I've enjoyed working at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery since 1996. We have a lot of fun. Dr. Tholen is not only my partner, but he's also my friend. I'm lucky. I love what I do.
