DARIN HILL: Hello. My name is Darin Hill and I'm the director of anesthesia here at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery. First, a little bit about myself. I graduated from the School of Health-Related Science in Rochester, Minnesota in 2001. After graduation, I continued to work for Mayo Clinic in the cardiovascular anesthesia department. I came to work for Minneapolis Plastic Surgery in 2003. My job entails all aspects of direct patient care in and out of the operating room. During the procedure, I monitor all vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation and temperature and regulate these modalities.

What sets us apart here at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery is that we do not cut costs in any aspects of our anesthetic care. We continue to use IV anesthetics throughout the entire procedure and do not ever convert over to inhalational agents, which may in turn cause an increase of nausea and vomiting and pain post-operatively.

We have a great success rate here at Minneapolis Plastic Surgery, with 98 percent of our patients going home free of nausea and vomiting as an outpatient. I can guarantee to all of our patients here that you will receive a call the night of surgery and I am very proud of our followup care.
